DNG Server Logs

You can find the DNG logs in the administration area of the DNG server.

To carry out the steps described in this guide, you must be a JazzAdmin.

Checking the logs can help you analyze errors in DNG or problems with tools from the requisis_Toolbox. Ideally, you should do this in pairs: One person reproduces the error while the other watches the rm.log in the livestream.

As an alternative to the GUI, you can also use the following URI to access the DNG server logs directly. You only need to add the domain of your DNG server.

https://<my.DNG.server>/rm/admin#action=com.ibm.rdm.fronting.server.web.logging

  1. To get to the page with the logs, click on Manage Server Administration in the top right of the gear menu.
  2. Then click on the Debug option in the top menu.
  3. Then click on Logging on the left under General to see an overview of the logs.
  4. To analyze problems with DNG, look at the entry rm.log.
  5. The logs listed here are all very large and not optimized for display in the browser. The Tail Log (live stream) option is recommended for viewing in the browser.

The livestream can also be marked with the mouse so that you can copy certain sections to a file or another tool.
