Execute a Migration with Advanced Logging for the Requisis support team

In some cases the support team ask you to execute a migration with more detailed log data to analayze a problem in requisis_MiX.

Step-by-Step-Guide

 

  1. Open the requisis_MiX GUI for your migration where the error occurs and click on the support button in the lower left corner.


  2. Activate the Enable + Include Data option in the Enable Advanced Logging subsection and close this window.


  3. Perform the migration where this corresponding error occurs. If this happens when migrating with the Migration Manager, make sure to migrate only the affected modules, because requisis_MiX needs now much more time to migrate.
  4. As soon as the migration is aborted by the error or the Sync Result window appears, depending on what happens first, click on the Support button in the lower left corner again.


  5. Now click on the Open Log Folder button in the bottom right corner.


  6. It opens your file explorer in the Log folder of requisis_MiX. (C:\Users\<YourWindowsUsername>\AppData\Local\Temp\MIX\<DOORsModuleID>) Pack the complete content of the folder into a zip file and then attach it to the open Support-Ticket. Do not send it within an email (this will be deleted). You can also upload it under this link Click. Please use a descriptive name with date for the zip-File.
  7. Take a screenshot of the support window and attach it to your ticket or upload it.
  8. Turn Advanced Logging off as it affects all migrations. The support team will keep you informed about the progress of your request.
