Instructions to make Requisis DOORS products available for all users of a computer
Valid for all products that use an installer.
The product installer is designed to be installed without requiring admin rights. This results in entries being made in the registry under "Current User" to create the Addins paths in Doors and other keys related to your REQUISIS products.
For DOORS 9.7, you can locate these under: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Telelogic\DOORS\9. 7\Config
The information is stored in the value keys "Addins" and "Projectaddins".
You now need to create these value keys under the following path: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Telelogic\DOORS\9. 7\Config
The paths should already exist. If the values do not exist, create them (New -> String) and name them as shown under "Current User". Also, copy the contents from Current User.
For REQUISIS products, using requisis_ReX as an example: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\REQUISIS GmbH\requisis_ReX
You need to build the same structure under "Local Machine". For example,: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\REQUISIS GmbH\requisis_ReX Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\REQUISIS GmbH\requisis_Re\Components Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\REQUISIS GmbH\requisis_ReX\LIC
You can also export the key set for requisis_ReX from Current User. Right-click the corresponding value key and select the "Export" option from the context menu.
You can then customize the exported file in a text editor. In the text editor, replace the value "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" with "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" in the entries.
To save the file, click on the "Save" button and then execute it.
Please note that in order to set the entries under "Local Machine," admin rights are required.
This can also be done with the DOORS keys. However, directly editing them is likely to be faster (but it also requires admin rights).
